Kel and Laura met at a restaurant situated in the Blue Mountains. He was the chef and she was the waitress.
Now, happily married and living in a small village on the far south coast of NSW, Australia, they both help run the local general store and post office owned by Kel’s parents.
Our mutual love of all things food, sustainable living and animal welfare (different to animal rights) was what began this blog.
Apart from bringing you pictures, recipes and experiences of tasty food; our hope is to educate people to know what food should be like, and in turn expect more from cafes, restaurants and food producers; that no matter how small your space to work with is, you can live sustainably and on a budget; and that livestock should be treated with respect, not only for their health and well-being but for ours also.
Our dream is to own a self sustainable farm that not only benefits us, but also the wider community by being a source of fresh, ethical produce and practical information.
As Christians, our lives are purposed for serving and loving God and others. We feel that God has lead us to this point in our lives and through our love of food and farming ventures we hope to reflect this.
